Sherwin Williams just announced their new 2021 Color of the Year. Get ready to inspire calm, stability, and warmth with Urbane Bronze SW 7048.

According to Sherwin Williams’ press release, Urbane Bronze “is a rich anchor that grounds the mind in calm and stability with its ties to the natural world.” Part of the Sanctuary palette in Sherwin-Williams 2021 Colormix® Forecast, Urbane Bronze signals a need for balance in both design and our lives in the year ahead. After all that 2020 has brought, it will be nice to surround ourselves with a color that can bring peace, tranquility, and warmth to our lives and homes going forward.

What Color is Urbane Bronze?

Urbane Bronze is a rich gray hue. While it may seem dark and bold initially, it’s somber tone will envelope you and make you feel serene and safe.

As an Accent Wall:

We’ve spent a lot of time at home recently, more so than we probably thought was possible. And with no end in sight to social distancing and pandemic concerns, it may be time to update the color on your walls. Urbane Bronze is the perfect shade to use on an accent wall, whether in your living room, study, or master bedroom.

As an accent wall, you can add a pop of color while still keeping a neutral theme in your decor. You can also help give a room a focal point, for instance, if you paint the wall that also has the fireplace. This draws the eye and can be a central design element to the room.
