Incorporating Urbane Bronze Into Your Home
You might think that adding this mindful shade into your existing decor might be a little difficult because it’s a dark color. However, since it’s neutral you actually have a lot more options than you might think. Below we’re sharing our favorite ways to incorporate Urbane Bronze into your home.
As an Accent Wall:
We’ve spent a lot of time at home recently, more so than we probably thought was possible. And with no end in sight to social distancing and pandemic concerns, it may be time to update the color on your walls. Urbane Bronze is the perfect shade to use on an accent wall, whether in your living room, study, or master bedroom.
Sherwin Williams says that “Urbane Bronze has an anchoring quality that conveys a sense of comfort and sanctuary in bedrooms, living rooms, and dens, or calm concentration in home offices.” This sanctuary
As an accent wall, you can add a pop of color while still keeping a neutral theme in your decor. You can also help give a room a focal point, for instance, if you paint the wall that also has the fireplace. This draws the eye and can be a central design element to the room.
On Your Kitchen Cabinets
For a lot of people, kitchens are calm spaces. They typically have a lot of light, natural elements, greenery (herbs), and thoughts of happiness while cooking, baking, and being with family. You can add another layer of tranquility to your kitchen when you update your kitchen cabinets with the color Urbane Bronze.
Urbane Bronze can work really well if you have butcher block countertops or other natural elements like quartz and woven textiles.
If you’re not ready to change your cabinet color, you could also use it in accents. Think about frames, artwork, decor, or other items that can add pizzazz to the room.
On Interior Accents
Accents can be all sorts of things. From decor to furniture to textiles and fabrics, there are a lot of ways you can subtly (or not subtly) insert Urbane Bronze into your home.
One way you can do this is to use the color on your front door … the inside of your front door. Most people pay attention to the exterior portion of the front door, however, the inside (the side that faces the interior of your home) can also be spruced up. Using Urbane Bronze here can help calm and center you before you leave the home, a much-needed reminder during these uncertain times.
On Exterior Accents
The great thing about Urbane Bronze is its multi-use abilities. While it makes a calming interior color, it also makes a showstopping exterior hue. This is important because you want your home to make a good first impression for visitors or prospective buyers. Urbane Bronze is definitely a shade to pick if you want to bump up your curb appeal and make the flowers and shrubs in the front yard pop.
According to Architectural Digest, Wadden mentioned that she thought the 2021 Color of the Year is perfect outside saying, “[Urbane Bronze] is so gorgeous outside, so I think that speaks volumes for the color.”
We’re really excited about this year’s Color of the Year. As more people seek to create a retreat from the world in the spaces around them, Urbane Bronze SW 7048 (245-C7) is an effective and easy way to deliver Zen in our daily lives.
